By Nolan Klouda, CED Executive Director
We are thrilled to welcome Ian Mills to our team! He’s joining us as a research technician, and will assist with our Emerging Sector Series and Outdoor Economy research.
Ian has a sharp eye for data and analysis. He has already demonstrated an aptitude for streamlining our number crunching and is proving to be an asset…an entertaining one at that. For example, he dropped this knowledge bomb on us: An estimated 106 million viewers in New York City used the toilet after the MASH finale in 1983 ended, pouring 6.7 million gallons of water through the city’s sewers. To this day, it remains the record for toilet flushing in NYC. Thanks for this, Ian.
When he’s not dazzling us with trivia, Ian is wrapping up a BBA in Economics at UAA. Prior to joining CED, he worked in UAA Administrative Services as an Accounting Assistant and as a Fixed Asset Manager. Ian is experienced with data management and analysis, workflow management, and research practices. Professionally, he is interested in macroeconomic market dynamics, economic efficiency and development, economic policy, and investment.
