Samantha Davenport Joins CED

Samantha Davenport joined Team CED as our Startups Storyteller! In this role, she will tell the stories of Alaska’s entrepreneurs and the larger ecosystem supporting them. Samantha is the lead contributor to the Alaska Startups website and will manage the associated social media channels. The opportunity to have someone with her talent showcasing entrepreneurs in Alaska incredibly valuable, and is a service we’re proud to offer our state.

Feedback is my third favorite four-letter word. By that, I mean the word gift. If you have been to one of my recent workshops, you would have heard me outline the expectation that feedback is a gift. CED’s book club kicked off with The Mom Test by Rob Fitzpatrick, which is about “how to talk to customers and learn if your business is a good idea when everyone is lying to you.” It’s a quick and easy read, and each of us came away with new perspectives on customer discovery, which is the process of identifying customers and understanding their purchasing behavior and motivations.
