Entrepreneurship Programming

Sparking and cultivating entrepreneurial talent is critical for Alaska’s economic future. Our work helps grow entrepreneurs and builds a diverse social network to drive innovation. UA CED works with partners across the state and country to move forward projects and initiatives that support the entrepreneurial ecosystem and broad-based economic development in Alaska.

Catalytic Events

Catalyzers are events that spur change, build networks, and incubate new solutions. Events range from sprints, problem-mapping sessions, and customer discovery to pitch competitions, hackathons, and innovation challenges. Each Catalyzer is built to suit the needs of our clients, partners, and the overall entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Upstart Alpha Entrepreneur Accelerator

Upstart Alpha is led by UA CED and provides participants with the resources to turn ideas into startups, within the span of a school year. Following the Lean Launch philosophy, participants learn how to test ideas, engage in customer discovery, meet investors, and more!

Upstart Interns/UAA Student-Focused Work

Upstart Interns connects students to startups! Students learn about entrepreneurship and what it means to be a founder, while startup founders get to work with the University’s best and brightest as they grow their companies.
